Our Story

Adam started his aviation career on his birthday, April 2009. In August 2009 he started attending Lansing Community College for Aviation Maintenance and completed his General and Airframe Maintenance in December 2010 at the top of his class. He didn't wast any time and moved to Oscoda, MI for 4yrs to work for Kalitta Air as a Line Maintenance Technician on the Boeing 747 in addition to other Boeing and McDonnell Douglas aircraft serviced by Kalitta including the 727, 737, 747, 757, 767, 777, DC8, DC9, DC10, and MD11 aircraft. While there he completed his Powerplant license requirements and became a fully licensed A&P. He started working on several fabric aircraft for fun with a inspector while continuing to fly.

In 2014, life changes led him to Columbus, Ohio working for Republic Airlines on smaller regional Embraer aircraft where his leadership and teaching skills stood out. In June he was offered a job at Detroit Metro Airport with Express Jet Airlines where he held positions of line technician, trainer/evaluator on CRJ aircraft, and eventually became a lead. He completed his Bachelors Degree in Applied Science for Business Management from Sienna Heights University in May 2016. Shortly after Adam took his Inspector test. With the new license abilities in hand, FlyBoyz Aviation changed from a nickname to a business name. When ExpressJet closed in November 2016, Adam took a night supervisor position overseeing the GoGo Wi-Fi mod operation on Delta's fleet through STS while working on general aviation planes on his days off. In December, another twist of fate in court with a disgruntled ex-wife found him unexpectedly unemployed and FlyBoyz Aviation grew.

In another twist of fate, Sandusky City Airport came in need of a mechanic. Since that time, the lack of mechanics in the area put a demand on Adam so he started a mobile operation adding Sandusky City Airport as a regular stop followed shortly after by Marlette Township Airport. Saginaw HW Browne Airport was the next to require maintenance services followed by Midland Barstow. Four years after the establishment of FlyBoyz Aviation, a move was made and Sandusky City Airport with the opening of McKeand Aviation building. The decision was made to reduce the mobile operation work and focus on creating a functional shop so and agreement was made and Sandusky became the new location for the company.

In October 2022, the building was sold to Midwest Skysports leaving FlyBoyz without a shop once again. The mobile operation once again became a hot commodity around the thumb. During this time, some interesting opportunities started popping up with ElectroAir as the development of the NewGen electronic ignition system came out. Wasn't long after that the phone started ringing from potential customers around the US seeking high quality installations on their aircraft. Currently FlyBoyz travels all over the country continuing supporting ElectroAir and their products.
